Helen began her career as a systems integrator with Accenture, where she found that getting the technology right was the simple part – making systems useful and valuable was far harder, and fundamentally a people challenge. She moved into change management of large scale programmes in the public and telecoms sectors, with an increasing focus on people and performance, which led her to head up SHL’s competency design practice group for several years, and then lead the assessment division of boutique people consultancy The Thinking Partnership. She's now a Partner of HCubed, a leadership development consultancy she co-founded in 2010, a volunteer at mental health charity The Listening Place, and a Trustee at digital-first charity Mental Health Innovations, home of Shout, the UK's crisis text support service.
Helen has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and one in Psychology from the Open University. She is qualified to use a wide range of psychometric tools and has a Certificate in Psychotherapy & Counselling from Regents University, and a Foundation in Group Analysis from the Institute of Group Analysis. Her current clients include KPMG, Deloitte, Russell Reynolds, RPC, Fox Williams, Leeds Building Society, Coca-Cola, Choice Care, Total Media, Just Group, and Youth Futures Foundation.
